For mountain bikers, hikers and skiing fans alike: South Tyrol is known as the Eldorado for outdoor sport enthusiasts. The family-run Hotel Marica in Ega provides ideal conditions for an active holiday. After reading our newsletter, the owners – who are all keen sports enthusiasts and bike guides themselves – approached us with the request for a new website. The first step involved redesigning, completely by hand, the lettering for the hotel logo – proof that, our designers still master their trade and their pencils in the truest sense of the word in the digital age.
The next challenge was to restructure the existing website: we reduced the large number of individual pages by almost half. The slimmer page structure makes the new website considerably clearer, without reducing the quantity of information. The user is intuitively guided with optically and thematically integrated links on all the individual pages. This means that no page is simply a "cul-de-sac" of information, but everything is linked together so that the user is automatically guided through all the sites. There are also easy-to-read tables with room and full pricing information.
One highlight of the search engine optimised website is the integrated route planning tool, into which the hotel management can autonomously add bike routes. These can be easily retrieved anywhere – naturally on all end devices, thanks to the responsive design. The interactive maps allow users to make a precise analysis of the gradient and elevation gain, and thus prepare themselves perfectly for the selected route.
In addition, the stunning photos in the full screen gallery show the most beautiful impressions of the hotel. Most shots were taken by Gabriel, the son of the owner family Eisath that worked closely and constructively with us throughout the entire project.
